Personally, the most memorable is the first EDSA Revolution. I enjoyed it - A lot! No classes for almost a week. I really didn't care at all. I didn't understand why my parents were saddened by the demise of the Marcos regime. What I can remember, clearly, was the never ending video of Ninoy Aquino's assasination. It's a classic heroic act! A classic case of an unsolved mystery.
So Heroes live forever? Maybe? We've celebrated EDSA Dos and Tres, but where are the Heroes of these revolts? Have they turned into Villains? Fugitives? Only time can tell. I just find it amusing that our country never learned. We even have patriotic songs that didn't stand the test of time. I hope I'm wrong.
Here's a video of Regine singing the famous EDSA Revolution song - Magkaisa with The Company. I also included an audio file of the original version recorded by Virna Lisa. Reminisce....
