There comes a time when your mind fails you. It commences when the
billions of neurons in that skull start to shrink, and so do your mental
faculties. Like focusing, for instance.
Like a drift wood caught in a sea cyclone, I resigned myself to my
fate. Free fall for both, like Newton's apple dropping on his lap.
The support of Parokya ni Edgar fans is very evident based on their requests for a better video upload. Chito Miranda's simple composition does not require profound lyrics for it to be liked by many people. The melody is already catchy and the message clearly states that Regine is Ok lang. She should be ok for getting a Gold award after two weeks of release. Congrats!
HD conversion to regular video files and video compression of Youtube may have affected the quality, Stereo recording is still superb. Here's Ok Lang Ako - Enjoy!
I was not that excited when I found out that What About Love was inlcuded in Fantasy's Covers cd. I must have had enough of this song in Regine's Most Requested. The redeeming factor that made me like this song was the arrangement . Slower tempo that made the song a ballad instead of its original rock form. The belting part reminded me of another Heart song Alone, performed by Regine in SOP.
I appreciate that the Eastwood Mall Management had a budget for their open park stage. At least, it won't be a concern anymore if it rains. It's given that Rain is Regine's twin sister. It's just unfortunate that Kyla was one of the victims when it rained on her show.
Just one the promotional tarps in Eastwood City
The poor a/c in Alabang Town Center caused Regine's cough and colds. It's a good thing that she has somewhat recovered. The first 4 songs were plagued with phlegm type sound when she talked. The garalgal singing voice was obviously caused by phlegm. One of Regine's talent is singing with a lozenge in her mouth. I've seen her do this since the early 90s. It has been more than a decade already and she hasn't accidentally choked. This is one of her most difficult and applauded songs ( I Go Crazy - Fantasy Covers cd). People were blown away and were amazed on how she belted those high notes given that her voice was cracking on the first four songs, Oh well. that's Regine - No excuses even with a sore throat!
Enjoy this performance. The HD recording when converted to regular video files somewhat got affected. But the stereo recording is still superb. The belting part in Crazy reminded me of NSYnc's I Drive Myself Crazy. hehehe
Watch Regine Velasquez' last mall show for the year. Since she has to rest and prepare for her wedding, it is best to buy your copies of Fantasy coz they might get signed next year - if she still has mall shows.
This should have been included in the postcards of Fantasy. It could have been used as Fantasy's Album Cover. After all, Regine is the most famous Pinay Wonder Woman Fan.
For serious collectors of Regine Velasquez' memorabilia. These are MUST HAVEs! I love the Twitter like bird - For very obvious reasons Songbird! At least it's not a Monarch Butterfly.

I'm assuming that Fantasy is Earth Wind and Fire's version not Mariah Carey's original. Or maybe it's Gerard Kenny's version which she sang in her Drawn concert. If there's an Ogie's theme there should have been a Regine's theme. If such a theme existed, it can really be compared to Mariah's theme (Can't take that Away).
I really appreciate that Regine's repertoire is still updated with new pop songs like Five for Fighting'sDying. Is this included in the covers cd of Fantasy?
I'm Dying, Dying to wake up without you, without you in my head again
I'm Dying, Dying to forget about you, that you ever lived
There's a shade come over this heart that's coping with laying down to rest
I'm Dying to live without you again
I'm Dying, Dying to find a distraction, get you away from me
I'm Dying, Dying to reach a conclusion, so that the world can see
It's the same old story of love and glory that broke before it bent
I'm Dying to live without you again
The first time you left I said goodbye
Now there's not a prayer that can survive
Dying, Dying to die just to come back so we can meet again
Dying, Dying to say what I always should have said
It's a strange emotion this but there's still hope in this
As long as there's a breath...
I'm Dying and I can't live without you again
It's a strange emotion this but there's still hope in this
As long as there's a breath...
I'm Dying and I can't live without you
I'm Dying and I can't live without you again
There have been speculations that this Madonna song is included in the Covers cd of Fantasy. Also, there will be 20 postcards included in the album. There is a black and white theme and a colored theme for the postcards. Just refer to the 2 posters to have an idea. The postcards include Regine and Ogie's pre-nuptial pictures or not?. Enjoy!
Regine's version of Parokya ni Edgar's Ok Lang Ako. The song's wrtten by Chito Miranda. Good decision to cover an OPM artist's song. I hope that the mall shows of Regine will finally have the actual cds together with the huge posters. Enjoy!
Here's the official music video of Regine's You Don't Know written by Ogie Alcasid and directed by Direk Nani. The video can be interpreted in different ways. The most obvious would be Regine as a restaurant patron who has witnessed the relationship of real lovers Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes. Enjoy!
Here's the live performance ofFantasy'scarrier single You Don't Know at the Alabang Town Center.
Regine's opening songs - Halo & The Only Exception. She still looked fresh here. You will notice that as the show progressed, the tissue paper became her reliable ally. Her version of famous Illuminati artists Beyonce and Paramore (lol). Enjoy!
Regine's appreciation to Ely Buendia and The Eraserheads. This number was first performed in Regine's Most Requested. I liked the Aegis-all lungs-type of belting. Again, this medley may not be included in the covers cd.
Regine didn't mention if this Lifehouse hit song is included in her Fantasy album. A lot of people loved her version. Anyways, I am not so sure if her palazzo pants made her thinner or wider. tsk. tsk .tsk...
Odyssey is pre-selling Fantasy for P550 with free humongous posters. The first 50-55 buyers had an opportunity in having their posters signed by Regine. Since the venue was really humid, Regine looked exhausted but still managed to smile for some photo ops. I love Regine's live versions of her recorded songs since they always offer something new- some twists. Here's a belting version of Been Waiting.
I just find it weird that the event was called a Christmas launch. The only Christmassy about it was when Regine raised her wine glass with Champagne signalling the upcoming Christmas season. I never expected Alabang Town Center to be this hot. They better do something with their airconditioning system. The video will show how Regine consumed tons of tissues in wiping her sweat. The rest of the performances will be uploaded in no chronological order.
Regine's version of Claire Marlo'sWithout Me is so far my fave cover song in her Fantasy album. She performed this earlier with La Diva at Party Pilipinas and that somewhat depleted the emotions required by the song's lyrics. Enjoy!
Note: After uploading, I noticed that Blogger didn't do justice to the HD recording of this mini launch of Fantasy. It must be the compression that the file has gone through. I'm somewhat disappointed. Anyways, the original copy is still perfect!
Here's an audio sampler of You Don't Know - one of the original tracks in Regine's Fantasy album. Her shorts reminded me of Mariah's in Dreamlover music video and Loverboy cd single cover - I'm really sorry if I can't stop myself from comparing. This other picture reminded me of Dyesebel and Daryl Hannah in the movie Splash.
Here's Mariah's Loverboy picture.
I heard that it will be released soon (LOL) and another tentative date will be on the 22nd of this month. Let's wait and see. Click You Don't Know. Enjoy!
In Manilyn Live's First Anniversary, a rising star Regine Velasquez singing one of her hit songs Buhay ng Buhay Ko. I just noticed that the studio's very dark and creepy. It didn't look like they're celebrating. I wonder how Regine felt like wearing those 3-inch paddings-- so Karimadon. so Nineties... No wonder it's 1990. Enjoy! Thanks to cinemasuerte!
In the early 90s, a not so famous Regine Velasquez promoting her signature hit song Narito Ako. I just realized that cropped hair existed on that decade. This was a performance by Regine who hasn't been in love yet. This was during Roderick Paulate's Birthday Celebration. Enjoy! Thanks to cinemasuerte!
