David Cook Shopping in SM Megamall & David Archuleta Retreating to his Hotel

The concert of David Cook and David Archuleta was a BIG success even if the ticket prices were exorbitantly expensive especially the Platinum seats. There's no stopping a third world country like the Philippines in missing their well loved American Idols.

The first video was an unexpected visit by David Cook and his band in SM Megamall (7th world's largest shopping mall). Again, the crappy memory card malfunctioned and erased the longer & better vid. Reformatting the card solved the problem and we had to settle with this short vid and a stalking vid of David Archuleta (Edsa Shangrila Hotel) after his rehearsal.

A number of fans surely missed the airing of this exclusive interview of Cook and Archie at GMA's Cool Center. It has been more than a month and it still made me laugh. This video is definitely worth sharing to the whole world. You will see the natural acting skills of these American Idols. Also, you will witness Eugene Domingo's comedic skills without using slapsticks as compared to her rivals that lacked wit and charm. Enjoy the interview and it's truly CRAZY!!!

I really love this beautiful arrangement made by Raul Mitra. This time he totally went out of the box and experimented with his sound. The theatrical/musicale influences should take a back seat for the meantime. I still prefer the recorded version since you can really have a MOMENT. Appreciating the instruments used and its classy sound. IT sounded global... International - not your usual OPM arrangement. More beautiful music Mr. Mitra.. Please!

Papa Don't Preach

David Cook's version of Mariah Carey's Always Be My Baby was a big hit. It was truly unexpected to have this divaish hit song transformed to a beautiful rock ballad. Regine's version of Madonna's Papa Don't Preach has the same effect. An 80's dance hit immortalized into a pop ballad. Listen and Enjoy!

Wish that this song will be included as a bonus track in her next album.

Of course, the music industry MUST still take risks in promoting Original Pilipino Music. We can never totally veer away from covering beautiful classic songs, but we can start producing more original music. Something that Filipinos can be proud of as their own.

Ramielle Malubay LIVE in Manila

I like Ramielle even if she doesn't have a powerful voice. Being a Fil Am, she was admirable when she wasn't scared of telling the whole world that Regine is one of her IDOLs. This is something that Fil Ams should emulate. Never be afraid of your lineage.

Finally, after finishing the Idol Tour, she'll be here. Hopefully, she'll get to sing with her fave Songbird. What's final and absolute is that she's part of the concert :The Idol Experience: Ogie Sings with the Idol. This is a two night concert on December 20 & 21. She will be joined by Gretchen Espina - GMA 7 Pinoy Idol's Winner and the other 11 Finalists.
